How it works
How MyHelpa works
From request to confirmed help, every step is reviewed by a person.
For people seeking help
- Create an account and complete your profile.
- Describe one specific need: what it is, why it matters and how the help will be used.
- Upload supporting documents privately. Only administrators can see them.
- Submit for review. You may be asked for more information.
- Once approved, your need appears to helpers with only your first name and area.
- When matched, track progress and confirm when you have received the help.
For helpers
- Browse verified needs and filter by category, area, urgency or value.
- Offer to fulfil a need fully or partly, and explain how you will help.
- An administrator approves your offer before it becomes a match.
- Record progress and evidence, for example a receipt from a vendor.
Ways help can be delivered
- Direct vendor payment — paying a school, hospital or supplier directly. Recommended where possible.
- Product delivery — delivering an item such as a laptop or groceries.
- Service delivery — providing a professional service such as mentoring or repairs.
- Cash assistance — only where other methods are not possible, with extra care.
Important
MyHelpa does not hold or process money. We record what was agreed and what was delivered.
